Himachal Pradesh State Mental Health Authority was reconstituted Under Section 45 of MHCA, 2017 vide Govt. Notification No. HFW-B(A)2-2-92-VI-Loose-1 dated 29/11/2018. Sr. Medical Superintendent of Himachal Hospital of Mental Health & Rehabilitation was nominated as Chief Executive Officer of HP State Mental Health Authority under Section 52(1) , vide Govt. Notification No. Health-CA11/2018 Part-I dated 18/04/2019. Six Medical Review boards have been constituted in the state of Himachal Pradesh under Section 73 (1), vide Govt. Notification No. Health-C-A-(2)11/2018 Part-I dated 18/04/2019.
